Sub-Cent Mathematical Precision

Low frequencies in a piano are highly transient and have extremely weak fundamental frequencies, whereas high frequencies are short and decay rapidly. Traditional tuners fail at both extremes. Ivory Pro handles them with state-of-the-art DSP:

  • Bass Octave Stabilization: Sliding circular accumulator ensures the McLeod Pitch Method (NSDF) always operates on a complete period, eradicating low-end blindness.
  • Linear Peak Search: By replacing standard power spectrum parabolic FFT interpolation with linear amplitude interpolation (via Accelerate SIMD vvsqrt), treble tracking errors are mathematically resolved.
