File Property Edit is built with privacy as the top priority. Unlike many modern applications that collect user data for analytics or cloud processing, File Property Edit operates entirely on your device. This privacy policy explains our commitment to protecting your privacy and what (very little) happens with your data.

Information We Do NOT Collect

File Property Edit does not collect, store, access, or transmit:

• Your files or file contents
• File metadata or properties
• Personal information
• Usage analytics or statistics
• Crash reports
• Device information
• IP addresses
• Location data
• Any other user data

Local Processing

All operations in File Property Edit happen entirely on your local machine:

• File Reading: Files are read directly from your disk
• Metadata Editing: Changes are processed in your computer's memory
• File Writing: Modified files are written back to your chosen location
• Formulas: Formula processing runs locally on your Mac
• Batch Operations: Even large batch operations process locally
• Undo System: Undo history is stored in app memory, never sent anywhere

Network Usage

File Property Edit uses network connectivity only for:

• App Store Integration: In-app purchases are handled by Apple's StoreKit framework. We do not receive or store your payment information.
• License Validation: Premium feature licenses are validated locally using Apple's receipt validation system.

File Property Edit never sends your files, metadata, or any usage data over the internet.

Stored Data

File Property Edit stores minimal data locally on your Mac in the standard application preferences:

• App Settings: Your preferences (e.g., date format, auto-save settings)
• Window State: Last window size and position
• Purchase Status: Information about which premium features you've unlocked
• Tutorial Status: Whether you've seen the welcome tutorial

All stored data remains on your Mac and is never transmitted elsewhere.

File Access

File Property Edit requires access to files you explicitly provide through:

• The "Add Files" button
• Drag-and-drop into the application
• macOS file picker dialogs

The app can only access files you explicitly select. It cannot browse or access other files on your system without your permission.

Permissions

Required Permissions:

• File System Access: To read and write metadata to your files

Optional Permissions:

• None. The app does not request any optional permissions.

Third-Party Services

File Property Edit does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics frameworks, or advertising networks.

The only external component is Apple's StoreKit framework, which handles in-app purchases according to Apple's privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

File Property Edit does not collect any data from any users, including children under 13. The app is safe for all ages.

Data Security

Since File Property Edit does not collect or transmit your data, there is no risk of data breaches or unauthorized access through our app. Your files remain under your complete control on your own device.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your files remain in your chosen locations
• Modification: You control all edits through the app interface
• Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all associated data
• Portability: Your files remain in standard formats

Changes to Privacy Policy

If we make any changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We will maintain our commitment to local processing and zero data collection.
